516 Broadway St S, Stillwater, MN 55082

A rare opportunity on Stillwater’s coveted South Hill, this 1914 four-square in the Historic District blends original character with thoughtful updates. With just four prior owners, the home retains beautiful hardwood floors, original lead-glass built-ins and buffet, and wood-burning fireplace. The fully screened three-season front porch overlooks scenic Broadway Street and the St. Croix River—an inviting place to relax just one block from the top of the Main Street Stairs. A 2023 renovation by David Heide Design Studio transformed the kitchen, main-floor TV room, bathroom and mudroom. The kitchen features a generous soapstone center island, soapstone countertops, custom cabinetry and updated appliances, including an oversized Sub-Zero refrigerator with integrated cabinet panels and a gas range. Solid oak flooring and carefully considered finishes complement the home’s historic details. Additional improvements include updated main-floor plumbing and wiring, and a refreshed basement living area and half bath. Updated laundry appliances and a second refrigerator add everyday convenience. A backyard privacy fence added creates a welcoming outdoor retreat. Enjoy easy access to downtown Stillwater’s restaurants, shops, entertainment and festivals from this distinctive South Hill home.
